Puri District-Level Banaati Competition Held Ahead of Republic Day

In celebration of Republic Day 2025, the Puri district administration, under the supervision of the District Information and Public Relations Department and the guidance of Deputy Director Santosh Kumar Sethi, organized the Puri District School-Level Banaati Competition. The event was held at the premises of Sukhilata Smruti Government High School.

In the boys’ category, Truptikanta Hansda from Saraswati Shishu Vidyamandir, Harachandi Sahi, secured first place. Akash Behera and Rudra Sarkar, both students of Sukhilata Smruti Government High School, earned second and third places, respectively.

In the girls’ category, L. Barsha Behera from Sukhilata Smruti Government High School claimed the first position, followed by Riya De in second and Mishti Majhi in third.

The panel of judges for the competition included renowned Banaati experts and senior journalists Bishnudatta Das, Jagannath Suar, Pintu Jena, Sai Spandan Panda, and Dharmendra Hansda.

All winning participants will be felicitated by the chief guest during the district-level Republic Day parade celebration scheduled to be held on January 26 at Talabania Stadium.
