
Foundation Stone Laid for New Building with 25 Rooms and Grand Hall for Resting of Saints and Monks in Puri

A grand Bhumi Pujan and foundation stone laying ceremony was held at the premises of the Shri Ramchandra Swami Charitable Trust, located at the Thanapati Ashram near the Shri Lokanath Temple and Shri Balaji Temple in Puri. Under the guidance of the Trust’s Chairman and Mahant of Jeeyer Swami Math, Shri Indira Raman Ramanuja Das Ji Maharaj, the foundation was laid for a new building comprising 25 rooms and a spacious hall, intended to serve as a free resting facility for saints and monks.
The ceremony was conducted in the presence of esteemed priests. The hall is also intended to host free Bratopanayan (sacred thread ceremony) and Bhagavata recitations. Swami Sudarshan Ramanuja Das Ji Maharaj, a saint of the Jeeyer Swami Math and a member of the trust, participated in the rituals as the chief priest. He announced that the new facility would provide comfortable lodging and warm hospitality to saints, monks, and Mahants visiting Puri for the darshan of Lord Jagannath from various parts of the country.
Pandit Indramani Pati served as the chief priest during the puja, while Pandit Dharmendra Sadangi performed the main rituals. Senior journalist Bishnudatta Das was also present at the ceremony.
