
1008th National-Level Jayanti of Adi Jagadguru Ramanujacharya to Be Celebrated in Puri
Puri, 03/04/2025 – Under the guidance of Shri Indira Raman Ramanuja Das, Chairman of the Shri Ramachandra Swami Charitable Trust and Mahant of Jeeyar Swami Math, the 1008th national-level birth anniversary (Jayanti) celebration of Adi Jagadguru Ramanujacharya will be held on May 2 at the Jeeyar Swami Math premises in Balisahi, Puri. The first preparatory meeting for the event was chaired by Trust member and Mahant of Kataki Math, Dr. Bijay Narayan Ramanuja Das.
Participating in the meeting were Mahant Narayan Ramanuja Das of the Uttar Parshwa Math, Subal Charan Das, President of Gauravihar Ashram, Trust member Sudarshan Ramanuja Das, Suresh Sharma, Mahant Shubhananda Puri of Mahiprakash Math, educationist Professor P. Mohan Pattnaik, poet Badri Mishra, Manoj Rath, President of Utkal Vidwat Parishad, social worker Jitendra Mahapatra, and senior journalist Vishnudatta Das.
On May 2, a spiritual assembly will be held at the Balaji Temple premises near Lokanath Temple, followed by a grand spiritual procession starting from the Jeeyar Swami Math featuring a parade of Adi Jagadguru Ramanujacharya’s image through the city.
The event is expected to witness participation from saints, monks, and Mahants from various states across India. Jagadguru Lakshmi Pappanna Jeeyar Sridandi Swami from Buxar, Bihar, will also be in attendance, as informed by Chairman Dr. Bijay Narayan Ramanuja Das.
