Nutrition Awareness Program
Delanga, 03/04/2025 – Nutrition means providing the body with essential nutrients, which is vital for sustaining life and maintaining good health. In Delanga block, a nutrition awareness program was conducted through folk performances (Pala) in five Gram Panchayats: Rencha, Sujanpur, Gadamotari, Chainpur, and Kothabada.
The awareness campaign was carried out by singer Suresh Kumar Mahapatra and his team through the presentation of traditional Pala performances at the Jagadalpur Maa Paduka Pala Mandap. The themes of the performances included Poshan (nutrition), Badhayein (growth), prevention of child marriage, and the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative.
Women from SHG groups, ASHA workers, and Anganwadi workers attended the event. The awareness program was conducted under the chairmanship of ICDS Supervisor Shantilata Barik.
