Air Force Air Show ‘Surya Kiran’ at Bali Jatra Ground
At the Kuakhia Bali Jatra ground in the capital city Bhubaneswar, the Indian Air Force’s air show ‘Surya Kiran’ has commenced. The show is scheduled to run from 10 AM to 11 AM and features 11 Hawk aircraft. These planes are performing aerial stunts at altitudes ranging from 500 to 1,000 feet. This program, organized as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, was attended by Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
A rehearsal for the ‘Surya Kiran’ show was conducted yesterday. Today, a massive crowd has gathered to witness the performance. The administration has made elaborate security arrangements for the show. Along with the deployment of 45 platoons of police forces, ODRAF teams have also been kept on alert. Under the leadership of Group Captain G.S. Jhelan, the Air Warriors are presenting a stunning display. The Indian Air Force’s aerobatics team is demonstrating skills at a speed of 1,600 km per hour.
To ensure the general public can enjoy the show comfortably, arrangements for vehicle parking, ambulances, fire services, and drinking water have been made. On the 18th, the Air Warriors will showcase their prowess over Raj Bhavan in Puri. Similarly, apart from Odisha, the show will be held in Guwahati on the 26th and 27th, in Chandigarh on October 8, and in Bareilly thereafter.
