Blood Donation Camp Organised on Netaji Jayanti in Cuttack; Veteran Philanthropists Felicitated
Cuttack: On the occasion of the 128th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, observed on January 23, a blood donation camp was organised at Netaji’s birthplace at Odia Bazar Government UPHC in Cuttack. The camp was conducted under the aegis of the Blood Donors Council of Odisha (BDCOO).
A total of 46 units of blood were collected during the camp. Speaking on the occasion, BDCOO organiser Prasanth Kumar Das said that the initiative would be highly beneficial, especially in view of the acute blood shortage often experienced across the state during the summer months.

As part of the Netaji Jayanti celebrations, two veteran philanthropists were felicitated for their outstanding contribution to humanity. The awardees included Dr. Bikash Kumar Prasad, International First Aid Trainer and Master Trainer of the Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha Branch, and Dr. Gajendra Senapati, Puri Sevayat and noted philanthropist.
Later, speakers from the Blood Donors Society of Odisha (BDSO) highlighted the immense contribution of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose to India’s freedom struggle and underlined his deep association with Odisha.
