The celebration day of the Maa Kandhuni Devi festival was held at Sorada in Ganjam district.

Distinguished guests at the event included Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly Shri Rajanikant Singh, Housing and Urban Development Minister Smt. Usha Devi, Planning and Coordination Minister Shri Rajendra Dholakia, Labour Minister Shri Srikanta Sahu, Aska MP Smt. Pramila Bisoyi, MLAs of Chhatrapur, Berhampur, and Sorada, former MLA of Sanakhemundi, the Mayor of Berhampur, and the Chairperson of the District Council.
