Mancheswar Bhubaneswar Enters Semifinal After Defeating Sunshine Pipili
Kakatpur, 3/3 – The last quarter-final match of the state-level cricket tournament, organized by Maa Tarini Sporting Club of Astarang, was held on Friday at the nearby Choudhury Stadium between Mancheswar Bhubaneswar and Sunshine Pipili.
The match was conducted in the presence of club president Manoj Biswal, sports secretary Samir Kumar Kar, coordinator Sudipta Raut, Saroj Pradhan, Sanjay Pradhan, Dilip Das, Mahesh Sahu, Prakash Behera, Ramaranjan Mohanty, and other club members.
Mancheswar Bhubaneswar won the toss and elected to bat first. In the allotted 20 overs, they scored 151 runs, losing all wickets. In the second innings, while chasing a target of 152 runs, Sunshine Pipili was all out for 138 runs in the full 20 overs and lost the match by 13 runs.
From Mancheswar’s side, Ravindra was declared ‘Man of the Match’ for giving away only 26 runs and taking 3 wickets in his 4-over spell. The match was officiated by skilled umpires Santosh and Kumar Bapi. Mahesh Sahu and Deepak Das provided live commentary for the match.
