13th Annual Maa Mangala Mahotsav to Begin in Kakatpur
Five Senior Ministers and MPs from Odisha to Attend; Audiences to Be Enthralled with Dance and Music Performances
Kakatpur, 21/3 – The 13th Annual Maa Mangala Mahotsav will commence on March 24 at the Mini Stadium in Kakatpur, Puri district, and will continue for three days. After a four-year break due to COVID restrictions, the Mangala Mahotsav is making a grand return this year with a fresh new format.
Five senior ministers of the state government, several Members of Parliament, renowned playback singers, dance troupes, and distinguished artists have given their consent to attend and participate in the event.
Throughout the three-day festival, several prominent guests are scheduled to attend, including State Tourism and Culture Minister Ashwini Kumar Patra, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash, Agriculture Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain, Kandhamal MP Achyuta Samanta, Kendrapara MP Anubhav Mohanty, Jagatsinghpur MP Dr. Rajashree Mallick, Khurda MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Satyabadi MLA Umakanta Samantaray, Pipili MLA Rudra Pratap Maharathy, and former MLA Akash Das Nayak.
Also gracing the event will be well-known playback singer and music director Abhijit Majumdar, singers Asima Panda, Deepti Rekha Padhi, Antara Chakraborty, Dipesh Pati, Sheetal Kabi, Swayam Padhi, Arpita Choudhury, as well as popular dance groups like Prince Dance Group and James Dance Group. Celebrated comedy actors Prajna and Shankar will also participate, offering entertainment to the thousands expected to attend.
The Mahotsav will be chaired by Kakatpur MLA and Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, and Home, Tushar Kanti Behera. The secretary of the organizing committee is Swadhin Kumar Nayak, Vice President of Puri District Council and son of former minister Surendra Nath Nayak. Educationist Swapneswar Sahu will serve as the Executive Chairman of the committee.
