A Day for Mother
Unveiling of the Souvenir “Satyabhama” on the First Death Anniversary of Satyabhama Mahapatra
Sakhigopal | 19.04.23 – Today, a heartfelt memorial was organized beside the Barala Balunkeshwar Temple in Sakhigopal to observe the first death anniversary of Satyabhama Mahapatra, a woman known for her simplicity and noble heart.
On this occasion, renowned astrologer and writer Debi Prasad Mahapatra of Satyabadi and Odisha, held this memorial gathering and souvenir unveiling ceremony in honor of his late mother to keep her memory alive. The souvenir titled “Satyabhama” was formally released during the event.
A poets’ gathering was also organized under the theme “A Day for Mother”, in which more than 50 poets from various districts of Odisha participated. Each poet recited their original compositions dedicated to the loving memory of their mothers, paying tribute to the eternal bond.
Distinguished personalities of the region attended the event and offered heartfelt floral tributes before the portrait of Satyabhama Mahapatra, expressing their respect and remembrance.
The day’s program was conducted by Debi Prasad Mahapatra, editor of the souvenir Satyabhama, while educationist Manas Ranjan Pattnayak coordinated the event.
