Mobile Phones Banned at Mangala Temple; Strict Action from Today
Kakatpur, 28/5 – Although mobile phones have long been prohibited inside the Mangala Temple, some unauthorized individuals have been posing as temple servitors and uploading photos of the temple’s sanctum sanctorum to social media. This has led to the spread of confidential rituals of Goddess Mangala, sparking various controversies and disturbances. These issues were brought to the attention of the temple administration.
In response, a crucial meeting was held on Sunday at the temple trust office. The meeting was attended by the temple trustee and Tehsildar Biranchi Narayan Behera, Executive Officer Kailash Chandra Das, Chief Medical Officer of Bangurigaan Ashish Kumar Mohapatra, Kakatpur Police Station IIC Priyaranjan Nayak, Servitor Committee President Manoranjan Panda, Vice President Kamal Lochan Dixit, Secretary Pabitra Mohan Dixit, Tushar Ranjan Dixit, Pradeepta Kumar Dixit, Pradeep Kumar Panda, Pabitra Kumar Dixit, Manas Kumar Dixit, Himanshu Bhushan Dixit, Temple Policy Commission member Rabindra Jena, Prabhat Singh, Head Priest Servitor Prakash Chandra Panda, Raghunath Dixit, among others.
In this meeting, it was decided that during the Dadhivamana Snana Yatra (ritual bathing procession) and within the temple premises, neither servitors, devotees, nor unauthorized persons will be allowed to carry mobile phones. If anyone is found violating this rule, the temple administration will take strict action, as stated by Executive Officer Mr. Das.
