Vishwashanti Maha Yajna Held in Front of Mangala Temple
Kakatpur, 4/7: A three-day-long Vishwashanti Maha Yajna (Great Sacrificial Fire Ceremony for World Peace) was organized in front of the Maa Mangala Temple in Kakatpur. Beginning last Saturday, the event started with the rituals of Adhibasa, Ankura Ropan (sowing of sacred seeds), and Agni Sanyog (invocation of the sacred fire), and concluded today with the Purnahuti (final offering to the fire).
Every year, this yajna is organized by Kavindra Dikshit for the welfare of the world. The primary objectives of the yajna are world peace, public health in the face of pandemics, prosperity of Mother Earth, and establishing peace and harmony in the world. Vedic scholar Chittaranjan Mishra stated these goals during the ceremony.
Each night, devotees participated in the rituals and partook in the sacred offerings (Charu), which were distributed as Bhog Prasad. Notably, Shailashu Shekhar Dikshit (Kahna) and the villagers of Kakatpur played key roles in organizing and supporting the event.
In the evenings, the atmosphere transformed into a deeply spiritual one with the Aarti of the yajna and the chanting of mantras by the yajna priests, creating a divine and serene environment.
