₹1.5 Lakh Looted After Breaking Open Bike Dicky

Kakatpur, 13/07 – Sudarshan Kalia of Tentulia village, under Kakatpur police station in Puri district, was returning home after withdrawing ₹1.5 lakh from the State Bank in Kakatpur. On his way back, he stopped his vehicle in front of Mahaveer Medicine Store in Kakatpur to purchase medicine. At that moment, two miscreants arrived on a motorcycle, broke open the dicky (storage compartment) of his bike, looted ₹1.5 lakh, and fled the scene.

Though police reviewed the CCTV footage and chased the culprits up to Charichhak, they were unable to catch them. Kakatpur IIC Ranjan Kumar Mallick stated that the criminals are suspected to have fled via the Banamalipur area from Niali. Police have continued their investigation into the incident.
