Renowned Social Worker from Kakatpur, Dr. Jagabandhu Shadangi, Meets Hon’ble President Droupadi Murmu
Kakatpur, 16/9 – Dr. Jagabandhu Shadangi, a distinguished social worker from Kakatpur and former Director of Odisha Handicrafts and Cottage Industries, met the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
Dr. Shadangi, who also serves as the General Secretary of the Odisha Anti-Corruption Action Forum and President of Prachi Sanskriti Samiti, paid a courtesy visit to the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan. On this occasion, he presented two annual souvenirs to the President – Sangharsha, the annual publication of the Anti-Corruption Forum, and Prachi Pratibha, the annual publication of the cultural organization.
During the meeting, they held discussions on various topics including the ongoing, united fight against corruption, the civilization of the Prachi River, and the heritage of Odisha’s handicrafts.
Speaking about the experience, Dr. Shadangi said, “I am truly delighted to have met the Hon’ble President. Our conversation on my personal journey—including my education in Bangalore and Czechoslovakia, my family, the fight against corruption through my organization, my village Kakatpur and the Mangala Temple, and the subject of Odisha’s handicrafts—was filled with interest and warmth.
