“Donation Festival” Held in Puri – Satyabadi Social Worker Sushant Rath Honored at Mission Odisha Blood Donation Camp

As part of the observance of Donation Festival Week, a blood donation camp was organized in Puri on the first day by Mission Odisha. The event was held at the conference hall of Gopabandhu Ayurvedic College, Puri, and was inaugurated by Dr. Sujata Mishra, Chief District Medical Officer of Puri.

Under the leadership of Madhusudan Mishra, the Secretary of the organization, the program witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including District Information and Public Relations Officer Santosh Kumar Sethi, District Culture Officer Hemanta Behera, Blood Bank Officer Deepak Kumar Sahu, former Municipal Chairman Gaurahari Pradhan, senior Sevayat Gopal Chandra Khuntia, Samarpan President Dr. Abhimanyu Bhuyan, social worker Manoj Rath, and professor Bishwanath Mishra. They spoke on the importance of blood donation and encouraged the youth to actively participate in the noble cause.

On this occasion, noted social worker from Satyabadi, Sushant Kumar Rath, was honored with the “Raktaveer” (Blood Hero) award in recognition of his contributions.

The event was hosted by Jayanti Mahapatra, Soumyaranjan Patra, Sanjay Mahapatra, and Govinda Patra. Manoj Kumar Nayak, head of Akhandalamani Yoga Education Center, and members of the Sadashiv Sanskrit Parishad also participated in the program.

During the event, Badri Mishra was felicitated for his 111th blood donation, marking a remarkable lifetime achievement and setting a motivational example for the younger generation. In recognition of their exceptional service in blood donation, Aditya Kumar Raut from Kakatpur, Niranjan Swain and Silu Raut from Puri Sadar, and Shravan Kumar Behera from Brahmagiri were honored with certificates and mementos.

Chief District Medical Officer Dr. Sujata Mishra praised Badri Mishra’s dedication and stated that his 111th blood donation will serve as a great inspiration for today’s youth to come forward, donate blood, and save lives. She also highly appreciated his milestone contribution to the cause.
