He also paid homage to Adikabi Sarala Das and honored the great personalities who fought to protect the Odia language and enriched its literature.
The Chief Minister remarked, “Language is the identity of a nation; it is its crown. As language use increases, it prospers, and so does the pride of the community.” He stressed the need to promote Odia literature globally, encourage interest in the language among the youth, increase its use on social media, and enhance research on the Odia language.
Higher Education Minister Shri Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, who attended the event, described Odia University as a significant contribution by the Chief Minister toward preserving the Odia language and identity.
