Intellectuals Demand NAC Status for Satyabadi

While the state government has declared several areas as Notified Area Councils (NAC), Satyabadi continues to be excluded from this list. Despite long-standing demands, the government has overlooked this region, prompting renewed calls from various intellectual circles in Satyabadi.
In light of this, a meeting was held last Sunday evening under the banner of the Satyabadi Swabhiman Manch. The meeting was attended by former educationist Satyabadi Das, Nabakishore Satapathy, Chinmayee Rath, representative of Jaypur Sarpanch Debadatta Samantray, social workers Sushil Sahu, Janaki Baral, Nihar Ranjan Swain, Bikram Jena, and lawyer Sushanta Rath, among others.
They collectively decided to submit a memorandum to the state government demanding the declaration of Satyabadi as a Notified Area Council (NAC). In the coming days, they plan to formally place this proposal before the government and request the official recognition of Satyabadi as an NAC.
