Shri Ram Janma Mahotsav Celebrated at Sakhigopal – Spectators Enjoy the Dance of Flying Hanuman

The Shri Ram Janma Mahotsav 2024 was celebrated with great grandeur at Sakhigopal. The festivities were held at the Ram Temple located near the Sakhigopal Temple. On this auspicious occasion, Lord Shri Ram, Lakshman, and Maa Sita were adorned in royal attire.
In the evening, a cultural procession was organized featuring Naam Sankirtan, and children dressed as Ram, Lakshman, Sita, and Hanuman joyfully participated, arriving at the Sakhigopal Temple in various traditional costumes.
A cultural stage program was held in front of the temple, inaugurated by chief guest Shri Satyabadi Das and guest of honor Dibakar Mahapatra, Prof. Prabhu Kumar Panda, among others. Following this, priest Vishwanath Mahapatra and Kahna Pushpalak joined on stage to perform Aarti of Lord Ram.
During the event, the Shri Gopal Sankirtan Mandali and Maa Mangala Tarini Ram Natya Anusthan, both known for promoting art in the Satyabadi region, were felicitated.
The highlight of the celebration was the dance performances by students of Satyabadi Scholars Gurukul, which captivated the audience. Musical bhajans and cultural programs kept the spectators thoroughly engaged throughout the evening.
Adding to the excitement, BJP Puri MP candidate Dr. Sambit Patra sang devotional songs at the bhajan program held near the Singhadwara (Lion Gate), energizing the audience with his presence and performance.
As part of the evening festivities, over 2,000 devotees participated in the prasad distribution organized by the event committee.
The celebration concluded with a Ramlila (dramatic performance). The artists’ skilled acting and especially the dance performance of the flying Hanuman were thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by the audience.
