Kakatpur, 27/5 (Tushar Dixit):
As the general elections draw closer, heavyweight leaders from various political parties are actively campaigning in different constituencies. Leaders from both within and outside Odisha are participating in numerous public meetings to promote their parties. With only a few days left for the fourth phase of elections in Odisha, candidates from three major parties are making all-out efforts to win voters’ hearts by announcing their manifestos.

To strengthen the BJP in Kakatpur, Assam Chief Minister and BJP’s star campaigner Himanta Biswa Sarma attended a massive rally organized at the local block ground. The event was also attended by Jagatsinghpur MP candidate Bibhuti Bhushan Tarai, MLA candidate Baidhar Mallick, former MLA Surendra Sethi, District Vice-President Ratikanta Behera, coordinator Sudarshan Swain, in-charge Purna Chandra Ojha, Kakatpur Block President Sridhar Nayak, Astaranga President Arati Nayak, Astaranga Youth Leader Dibakar Chatoi, Rajalakshmi Das, and others.

During the rally, Sarma urged people to support BJP candidates Bibhuti Bhushan Tarai and Baidhar Mallick in large numbers. He called upon the public to embrace the wind of change blowing across Odisha and integrate the state into Prime Minister Modi’s development journey.

He stated that if a BJP government is formed in Odisha, under the Subhadra Yojana every woman would receive a ₹50,000 voucher, old-age pensions would be increased from ₹1,000 to ₹3,000, the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy would be raised, all four doors of the Jagannath Temple would be opened, and an investigation would be conducted into the missing keys of the Ratna Bhandar (temple treasury). He declared these as guaranteed by PM Modi.

Sarma criticized the 24-year rule of the BJD, saying it has dragged Odisha back by a decade due to poor governance. He mocked the BJD’s 5T model by referring to it as a copy of Tamil Nadu’s administrative approach.

Over 30,000 women, youths, students, and party workers participated in this public meeting, resolving to ensure BJP’s victory in the upcoming elections.
