The voluntary organization The Bell, in collaboration with State Bank of India, organized a tree plantation drive titled “One Tree, One Life” in Puri. The event took place at the Integrated Infa Structure Center (IIC Village Complex) located at Bangar in Puri.
The main objective of the initiative was to create a pleasant and green environment for the mentally challenged individuals residing there. As part of the program, over a hundred fruit and flowering saplings were planted.
Puri District Social Security Officer Shri Shubhranshu Maharana attended the event as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he stated that although Puri is a coastal city, it is gradually turning into an overheated urban area. He emphasized that tree plantation is the only sustainable solution to this growing concern.
Another distinguished guest at the event, Shri Bijay Kumar Satapathy, Chief General Manager of SBI’s Main Branch, highlighted the bank’s ongoing commitment to fulfilling its social responsibilities.
The event was coordinated by Siddharth Ray, President of The Bell. Members of The Bell Youth Club and employees of the IIC Complex actively participated and extended their support to the plantation drive.
