Press Meet Held Ahead of 35th State-Level Cricket Tournament

With just a month remaining for the state-level Mangala Cup, the organizing committee convened a preparatory meeting involving all committee members and advisory board representatives to discuss the upcoming event in detail. As in previous years, the 35th State-Level Mangala Cup Cricket Tournament will be organized this year as well at the Maa Mangala Mini Stadium in Kakatpur, Puri district, under the auspices of the Mangala Cricket Club.
A press meet was conducted by the organizing club on Sunday at the local mini stadium’s conference hall. Club president Pradeepta Kumar Dixit announced that the tournament will commence on December 25. A total of eight teams will participate in the tournament, and the champion team will be awarded a cash prize of ₹41,441 while the runner-up will receive ₹21,221.
The tournament matches will be played in a 30-over format. All players will be dressed in white uniforms and will use SG balls during the matches, as stated by club secretary Shubhranshu Bhushan Dixit.
Among others present were the club manager Bhagabat Swain, treasurer Er. Suryakant Dixit, and joint secretary Sanjay Samal, along with several media representatives. The organizers also informed that compared to previous years, this year’s tournament will be more grand, well-organized, and entertaining.
