Inter-Class Cricket Tournament Held at Jahan Public School
Kakatpur, 19/11 (Tushar Dixit) –
The inter-class cricket tournament of Jahan Public School in Kakatpur was held at the Maa Mangala Mini Stadium, located behind the local government high school. The match was formally inaugurated by the school’s director, Sumitra Ghosh, who cut the ribbon. The competition began between the students of Class IX and Class X. After winning the toss, the Class X captain decided to bat first.

The players of Class X scored 42 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 8 overs. In response, the Class IX team chased down the target in just 6.4 overs, losing only 7 wickets, thus securing victory. From the Class IX team, Bharadwaj Parida was declared ‘Man of the Match’ for scoring the highest 28 runs, while from the Class X side, Shakti Prasad Das was declared ‘Man of the Series.’
The match was conducted under the supervision of Physical Education teacher Kalinga Prasad Nayak, English teacher Prem Shankar Pujari, and Mathematics teacher Satyaranjan Satapathy. The winning team was awarded the trophy by Director Smt. Ghosh, while Principal Mamata Mahapatra and teacher Madhusmita Padhiari were present and encouraged the players throughout the event.
