1998 Batch Alumni Reunion Held at Kakatpur
1/12/24 (By Tushar Dixit)
Yesterday, a heartwarming alumni reunion was organized for the 1998 batch of Neelamani Girls’ School, located in Niali Block of Cuttack district. The event brought together school friends who had studied together years ago and has now continued for the past three years as an annual tradition.
This initiative is an effort to preserve the bond of friendship and connection among former classmates. Speaking about the event, Smita Rani Padhi, the main organizer and group coordinator, expressed that in today’s fast-paced and work-burdened life, stepping away briefly to reconnect with childhood friends and relive old memories is a truly refreshing experience.
The program received active support from Ranjita Pradhan, Pushpalata Pradhan, Rashmita Maharana, Rajashree Mahanti, Manasi Tiadi, Sujata Panda, Chaina Tiadi, Ranjita Swain, and Rajashree Mishra (Shikha). After meeting up in Niali, the group visited the Mangala Temple in Kakatpur, enjoyed an ecotourism experience in Konark, toured the Sun Temple, and later gathered for a shared meal.
During the gathering, it was discussed and unanimously decided that Smita Rani Padhi (Kunu) would take the responsibility of bringing in those batchmates who have not yet joined the group. If everyone could be brought together in the coming year, it could serve as a beautiful example for future generations—a way to not only reconnect with childhood friends but also to find emotional relief and joy amidst the chaos of daily life.
