Memory of Educationist Lakshmidhar Satapathy
Kakatpur, 06/11 (Tushar Dixit): A heartfelt memorial tribute was held in remembrance of the late Lakshmidhar Satapathy, a distinguished educationist, ideal teacher, and creative personality from Gambharipada village under Kakatpur block of Puri district. The gathering took place in the evening at his residence on the occasion of the 14th day following his demise.
The event was attended by many dignitaries, including Kakatpur MLA Shri Tushar Kanti Behera, Puri Zilla Parishad Vice President Shri Swadhin Kumar Nayak, Shri Kabiraj Biswal, Shri Ashok Kumar Dalai, Shri Prananath Mallik, Shri Gyan Ranjan Sahu, Congress MLA candidate Bishwabhushan Das, Puri District Congress General Secretary Soumyakanta Khuntia, senior advocate Prafulla Nayak, BJP MLA candidate Baidhar Mallik, Jaladhar Nayak, Smt. Basanti Nayak, and former block chairman Bipin Bihari Mohanty, along with several senior leaders from the Kakatpur region who paid their floral tributes.
The guests remembered Satapathy as a teacher who deeply loved his students, a principled administrator, and a creative scholar who maintained strong ties with the literary community even after retirement.
The program also saw participation from members of the Kakatpur Press Club, including President Kamal Lochan Dixit, Vice President Tushar Ranjan Dixit, senior journalists Niranjan Das, Sameer Kumar Kar, Aditya Kumar Raut, Pradeepta Kumar Dixit, Lokanath Swain, and Bhagabat Swain. As part of the tribute, they planted trees in his memory.
Other activities included devotional chanting and a Gita yajna. The memorial event was coordinated by his son Shankarshri Shibananda Satapathy and daughter-in-law Krushnapriya Satapathy.
