26th Bhagavata Jayanti Celebrated at Basudev Peeth in Astaranga

The 26th birth anniversary of the Shrimad Bhagavata was celebrated with great devotion at the ancient Basudev Peeth located in Olara village under Manduki Panchayat of Astaranga block. The two-day celebration took place on Monday and Tuesday.
On the first day, the rituals began with a Surya Puja (sun worship), followed by Bhagavata Path (recitation of the Bhagavata) and various other religious ceremonies conducted under the guidance of Pandit Sura Mishra and Kartta Ashok Parida. In the evening, arrangements were made for Prasad Sevan (community feast), which was attended by a large number of devotees.
The second day, Tuesday, featured the traditional Anna Kut offering, accompanied by a Ghoda Nacha (horse dance) performance, which added to the festive spirit. The event saw active participation from local journalists including Sameer Kar, Arya Biswal, Sanjay Pati, Aditya Biswal, Arata Mohanty, Manoj Biswal, and Sanjay Pradhan.
Under the leadership of event president Pramod Pal and with the cooperation of all committee members, hundreds of devotees gathered to partake in the sacred prasad and celebrate the spiritual legacy of the Bhagavata with great enthusiasm.
