Silver Jubilee Celebration of Vivekananda Shiksha Kendra Highlights the Crucial Role of Schools in Character Building
Kakatpur | 23/02 (Tushar Dixit) – The silver jubilee celebration of Vivekananda Shiksha Kendra, located in Kakatpur, was held with great enthusiasm at the cricket ground in Katakana, marking the institution’s 25th anniversary. The event, organized with grandeur, was presided over by Dr. Ashok Kumar Bishwal, a senior member of the institution and a lecturer at Charichhaka Nigamananda Women’s College. Prominent guests who graced the occasion included Chittaranjan Parida, Principal of Ratanpur Science Higher Secondary School, Kakatpur Block Education Officer Dillip Kumar Jena, retired headmaster Bichitrananda Patra, Iftekhar Ali Khan, CEO of Airmyan Group of Companies, and Safdar Hasim, Chairman of the Jauja Hassahis Abdullah Trust, among others.
The dignitaries emphasized that hard work helps students reach their goals and that schools play a vital role in shaping character. Primary education lays the foundation for building a strong future. They stated that students are like clay in the hands of the teachers, and the way teachers mold them reflects in the students’ lives.
Jara Rehman was honored on stage with the Champion’s Trophy for being the institution’s top performer, and many other students who excelled in various competitions were also awarded. Principal Truptimayi Rath presented the school’s annual report, while Vice Principal Rita Swain introduced the guests. Teachers such as Prabhati Behera, Sangeeta Baliyarsingh, Kabita Sethi, Pramila Sethi, Rozalini Barik, and Mitali Maharana played key roles in managing the program. The event concluded with a vibrant cultural performance by the school’s students.
The program ended under the supervision of senior journalist Shankar Prasad Das of Kakatpur. The school’s teachers, headmistress, and guardians praised Mr. Das for his dedication and involvement in making the event a success.
