Had a Good Conversation with U.S. President Joe Biden: Prime Minister Narendra Modi
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that he had a fruitful conversation with U.S. President Joe Biden aimed at further strengthening India-U.S. relations across all sectors.
The two leaders spoke over the phone yesterday and discussed recent and new initiatives aimed at enhancing bilateral and global partnerships between India and the United States. They also discussed the major agreement signed between Air India and Boeing.
Prime Minister Modi tweeted about the discussion, saying:
“Delighted to speak with President Joe Biden. We had an excellent conversation reviewing recent and new initiatives to further deepen the comprehensive and global strategic partnership between India and the U.S. We also appreciated the landmark Air India-Boeing agreement, which will help create new opportunities for both countries.”
It is worth mentioning that after Tata Group-owned Air India signed a deal to purchase 220 aircraft from the American company Boeing, a telephone conversation took place between Prime Minister Modi and President Biden.
President Joe Biden told Prime Minister Modi that this major agreement would help generate up to 1 million jobs across 44 states in the United States.
