New Police Station Building Inaugurated by Minister of State for Home Affairs in Kakatpur

On Thursday afternoon, the newly constructed building of Kakatpur Police Station was officially inaugurated by Shri Tusharkanti Behera, the dynamic MLA of Kakatpur and Odisha’s Minister of State for Sports, Youth Services, and Home Affairs.
Initially, Minister Behera arrived at the police station premises along with Puri District Additional Superintendent of Police Purna Chandra Pradhan, Puri Zilla Parishad Vice-Chairman Swadhin Kumar Nayak, and former Zilla Parishad Chairman Jyotirmaya Dalai, among other dignitaries. They were welcomed by police personnel with flower bouquets, chandan (sandal paste), and traditional greetings, and then escorted into the station.
The Home Minister and the guests performed a formal plaque unveiling ceremony at the new premises. Later, Minister Behera visited the various rooms of the newly constructed police station and signed the official register as part of the inauguration protocol.
A public meeting was organized in front of the station, which was attended by numerous intellectuals, business association representatives, panchayat-level elected officials, and media representatives from the Kakatpur region.
In his address, Minister Behera expressed that the newly built police station would earn the trust and confidence of the local public. Additional SP Shri Pradhan added that Kakatpur Police Station would function with public welfare in mind.
Today’s event was smoothly coordinated by Kakatpur IIC Priyaranjan Nayak, SI Priya Pradhan, ASI Rabindra Kumar Nayak, Pramod Kumar Sethi, and Subash Chandra Sahu. The newly constructed police building was beautifully decorated with lights, creating a festive atmosphere for the occasion. The event concluded with the distribution of sweets to all attendees.
