Satish Kaushik Passes Away: Bollywood Mourns the Untimely Demise of the Veteran Actor-Director
Renowned actor, writer, and director Satish Kaushik passed away today at the age of 66. His close friend and long-time associate, Anupam Kher, shared the heartbreaking news on Twitter. The sudden demise has left the entire film industry in shock.
Kaushik was born on April 13, 1956. His breakout role was as the character “Calendar” in Shekhar Kapur’s film Mr. India. A graduate of the National School of Drama and the Film and Television Institute of India, Kaushik made a significant impact with early films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Mandi, and Woh 7 Din.
As a director, some of his popular films include Tere Naam and Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain. His last post on social media was from a Holi celebration in Mumbai on March 7, organized by noted lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar.
