One Arrested in Motorcycle Theft Case, Vehicle Recovered

Kakatpur, June 11: A motorcycle belonging to Naresh Bishwal of Patharapaka village under Kakatpur police limits was stolen from the Kakatpur market on the 6th of this month. Following the theft, the police registered a case under Section 379 of the IPC and initiated an investigation.

On Sunday, the stolen motorcycle was recovered from Baus Pokhari village under Gop police limits, and Kedar Sethi was arrested in connection with the theft. He was later forwarded to court.

Kedar Sethi is reportedly a habitual bike thief and has previously stolen motorcycles from different parts of Puri district. Since Ranjan Kumar Mallik took charge as the new IIC (Inspector-in-Charge) of Kakatpur Police Station, there has been increased night patrolling, which led to the arrest of the professional bike thief. This has earned the police appreciation from the local community.
