Grief Over the Demise of Sevak Samiti Member

Kakatpur, 9/8: Narendra Kumar Dixit, a former member of the Sevayat Recruitment Committee of Sevak Sahi in Kakatpur and a retired government press employee, passed away on Wednesday morning at around 6 AM. He had been suffering from age-related illnesses and was undergoing treatment for some time.

Following the news of his demise, several distinguished individuals, contemporaries, and political figures visited to pay their last respects. After retiring from government service, the late Dixit remained actively involved in various religious and public welfare activities.

During his tenure as a member of the Sevayat Recruitment Committee, he played a vital role in the development of the prominent Shaiva shrine, Swameswar Temple, in Kakatpur, the restoration of the Dakshina Chandi Temple, and in reclaiming disputed properties of the Mangala Temple through his expertise and efforts.

He was well-known in the region as a mediator, a straightforward and sociable person, and a devout follower of religious practices.

At the time of his death, he was 76 years old. His eldest son, Ashish, along with his son Manas, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and other family members, were present at his deathbed. His final rites were conducted at the village cremation ground, where his eldest son Ashish performed the cremation rituals.

Among those who attended his last rites and paid their final respects were his only son-in-law and president of Prachi Yuva Samajik Sangathan, Debaraj Dixit, President of Sevak Samiti Manoranjan Panda, Secretary Pabitra Kumar Dixit, Samiti member Samarendra Dixit, Sarpanch Abhaya Kumar Sethy, social worker Himanshu Bhushan Dixit, and former Sarpanch representative Dilip Kumar Baral.
