Woman Found with a Cleaver Rescued
Satyabadi: Around 9:30 PM tonight, a woman holding a large cleaver in her right hand was seen walking from Podanga Sahi Chhak through the market area towards the Sakhigopal bus stand. The woman entered the Sakhigopal hospital and sat on a bench inside.
Locals informed Satyabadi IIC Bijay Ketan Behera about the incident. Upon receiving the information, IIC Mr. Behera sent SI Surama Swain and ASI Manjulata Dei to the spot. After inquiry, the woman was identified as Sasmita Pradhan (35) from Das Bidyadharpur village under Satyabadi police station limits.
After medical examination at Sakhigopal hospital, it was found that she was mentally unstable. SI Mrs. Swain and ASI Mrs. Dei later dropped the woman at her home. The sight of a lone woman walking at night with a cleaver had sparked various discussions among the public.
