The 9th Constitutional and 27th Annual Convention of the Akhila Odisha Brahmana Mahasabha was held over two days, from 26th to 27th August 2023, at the State Headquarters located at Dalmia Dharamshala, Bhubaneswar. District presidents and secretaries from various parts of Odisha participated in the convention. During the event, the state executive committee was formed through a constitutional process.
In this convention, prominent state-level responsibilities were taken up by several distinguished individuals. Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati Maharaj of Puri, formerly Ananta Shribibhushita of the Govardhan Math, assumed the role of Permanent Advisor. Shri Sitaballabh Mahapatra, Shri Ramakrishna Das Maharaj of Radhaballav Math in Puri, and Mahant Shri Parshuram Das Maharaj of Radhakanta Math, Puri, were appointed as advisors. Mahant Shri Parshuram Das Maharaj was declared the State President, while Shri Premananda Dash became the Working President. Shri Dillip Kumar Rath was appointed as Vice President, and Brahmachari Shri Haricharan Das Maharaj was named the General Secretary (Mahasachiv). Shri Suryanarayan Rath and Shri Chakradhar Tripathy were given the responsibility of Secretaries, and Shri Nrusingha Mahapatra was appointed Treasurer. Smt. Shraddha Shadangi took charge as the President of the Women’s Wing (Shakti Bahini), and Eng. Shri Bhagaban Panda became the State Election In-Charge. Shri Pradeep Tripathy was assigned the role of IT Cell Head, while Shri Laxmi Narayan Padhi became the Legal Cell Head. Shri Debiprasad Nanda was appointed as the President of Parshuram Bahini, and Binay Kumar Mishra took charge of the Temple Priests and Brahmin Ritual Division. All these members officially took their oath of office during the convention.
In addition to the above, other individuals who assumed important roles include Shri Rajiv Lochan Shadangi as Vice President, Smt. Ushantilata Hota and Smt. Shrutakirti Tripathy as Vice Presidents of Shakti Bahini, along with members like Shri Sarat Mishra, Smt. Bijayani Shadangi, Shri Nagendra Nath Mishra, and Shri Aditya Mahapatra.
Several proposals were presented during the convention for carrying out numerous public welfare activities in the coming days.
