Kuni Kaudias Offer Holy Water at Someshwar on the Last Shravan Monday
Kakatpur – Today marked the final Monday of the holy month of Shravan, and it was the last round of water offerings by Kaudias. In the morning, a large number of devotees were seen at various Shaiva shrines in Kakatpur and Astaranga regions, where Kaudias gathered to offer water. At the revered Someshwar Peetha, also known as the Ashtashambhu shrine, the spiritual atmosphere was elevated with the presence of many young devotees.
Around 200 young Kuni Kaudias from the “Gadibrahma Balak Bolbam Sangha” of Bajapur village collected water from the Panchabati Ghat near Bajapur at 8 AM. Chanting “Bhola Baba Par Karega, Someshwar Par Karega,” they danced and marched joyously with great enthusiasm to offer the holy water. Accompanied by the rhythmic beats of bells, gongs, and drums, the young devotees performed traditional dance along their route.
After taking a short rest at the Mangala Temple, they proceeded towards the Someshwar Temple. The vibrant attire of the Kuni Kaudias and the continuous chanting of the Lord’s name added a deep spiritual essence to the entire atmosphere.
This event was closely supervised and supported by local youth leaders including Giri, Mitu Prusti, Abhaya Sahu, Prashanta Sahu, Dillip Barik, and Brajakishore Sahu, who ensured everything ran smoothly and provided guidance to the young participants throughout the program.
