One Arrested for Alleged Attack on Postmaster

Kakatpur, 30/8 – An incident occurred at the Gambharipada branch post office under Kakatpur police station where Pitabas Ojha of Fakirsahi village allegedly stormed into the office and verbally abused Postmaster Mamina Sahoo using obscene language. He is also accused of grabbing and pulling her clothes in a threatening manner.

Furthermore, a complaint has been filed stating that the accused took away ₹14,449 from the office bag. Based on the complaint, Kakatpur police conducted a raid in Gambharipada village and arrested the accused, Pitabas Ojha.

A case (number 176/2023) has been registered against him under Sections 448, 294, 323, 354, 363, and 379 of the Indian Penal Code. The accused has been forwarded to court, and further investigation is ongoing, according to Kakatpur Police Station Officer Umesh Chandra Sahoo.
