Proposed Protest on 13th Temporarily Suspended by Electricity Consumers’ Association

Kakatpur, 11/9: The proposed protest scheduled for the 13th by the Kakatpur-Astaranga Electricity Consumers’ Association regarding an 11-point electricity-related demand under the Kakatpur Electrical Subdivision has been temporarily suspended.

On the 10th of this month, the Subdivisional Officer, Engineer Smrutiranjan Behera, invited the members of the Consumers’ Association for a discussion at the Kakatpur Electrical Subdivision office. During the meeting, attended by all core committee members of the association, the Subdivisional Officer, the Junior Engineer of the Kakatpur Electric Section, and all relevant staff, it was decided that the officer would fulfill all the demands within the next four to five months.

Following this assurance, the association members reviewed the situation and decided to temporarily call off the planned agitation.
