Booth-Level Committee Formed in Kakatupar and Katakana
Kakatupar – 5/11:
To unite Congress workers from the district to the panchayat level and to bring the failures of the Central and State Governments to the public’s attention at the grassroots level, booth-level committees have been formed in Kakatupar and Katakana. A workers’ meeting was also held for this purpose. The meeting took place at the Khuntia Tower in Chandan Bazaar under the chairmanship of Block Congress Committee President Abadhut Swain.
As invited guests, PCC Vice President Bishwabhushan Das and Puri District Congress Committee General Secretary Soumyakant Khuntia attended the meeting.
During the event, Sheik Himayat and Manoj Kumar Chand were nominated as Treasurer from Katakana Gram Panchayat. From Kakatupar Gram Panchayat, Nalini Kant Dixit was nominated as President, Rabindra Nath Dixit as Secretary, and Ghanashyam Kandi as the Scheduled Caste President.
As Vice Presidents of the Block Congress Committee, Akshay Kumar Das from Katakana Gram Panchayat and Karunakar Senapati from Kakatupar Gram Panchayat were unanimously nominated.
The guests urged all the workers to strengthen the Congress organization in the Kakatupar area and expressed their belief that if Congress returns to power, good governance will return both in the state and at the center.
