Integrated Youth Development Program Inaugurated at Mangala College

The college-level inauguration ceremony of the Integrated Youth Development Program, launched by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha, was held at Mangala College, Kakatpur. The event was inaugurated by the Chairman of the College Governing Body, Shri Sudhir Chandra Bhuinya, who attended as the Chief Guest. Expressing his gratitude to the Higher Education Department and Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik, he remarked that this innovative initiative would certainly aid in identifying and nurturing youth talent.
The College Principal, Dr. Ashok Kumar Tripathy, highlighted that this state-wide program organized by the government aims to support students’ physical and mental well-being as well as talent development. Administrative Officer of the college, Shri Jagannath Dixit, stated that, with the government’s encouragement, a variety of sports, cultural, and social activities will be organized at the college level over the next 9 days.
On the occasion of the inauguration, students of the college presented Odissi dance and patriotic songs, along with a poetry recitation competition held at the college level. The stage was managed by Lecturer Benjulata Swain and Lecturer Prasanna Kumar Baral, while vote of thanks was delivered by Professor Rashmi Ranjan Pani.
Students, faculty members, and staff of Mangala College actively participated in the event. According to the organizing committee, the program will continue for 15 days.
