Chief Coordinator of Blood Donor Group Honored with Utkalmani Seva Samman
On Thursday, November 16, 2023, a state-level event was organized at Manik Garden in Pipili on the occasion of National Press Day, through the joint efforts of the Pipili Press Club and the Utkalmani Journalists Association. The event was coordinated by Utkalmani Journalists Association President Purna Chandra Nayak, Pipili Press Club General Secretary Pradyumna Kumar Subudhi, Bijay Kumar Mahapatra, and Treasurer Hemanta Kumar Sethi.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by esteemed guests including former Minister Sameer Ranjan Das, MLA Amar Prasad Satapathy, MLA Umakanta Samantaray, and MLA Rudra Pratap Maharathy.
On this occasion, a special panel discussion was held on the topic “Value-Based Journalism in a Changing Environment.” Based on the theme of value-based journalism, the guests shared their views and honored young talents from the district and state who have excelled in various fields.
In recognition of his significant contribution to the state health services, Padma Lochan Mahapatra, the Chief Coordinator of the Blood Donor Group, was honored with the “Utkalmani Seva Samman” by the distinguished guests.
The contributions of social workers Sushant Kumar Rath and Tikina Mishra, for their continuous support to the group’s operations, were also highly appreciated by the guests in their speeches. They further committed their support for the upcoming blood donation camps to be organized in the future.
