33rd Block-Level Science Fair Held

The 33rd Block-Level Science Fair was organized under the Kakatpur Block Education Department at the premises of Bateswar Nodal High School, Balidokan, under the leadership of Block Education Officer Dillip Kumar Jena.
On this occasion, Puri Zilla Parishad Vice-Chairman Swadhin Kumar Nayak attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the fair. The event was graced by Lakshman Kumar Panda, President of the Alumni Association of Bateswar Nodal High School, as the keynote speaker. Other distinguished guests included Ranjan Kumar Jena, Secretary of the Odisha Chartered Accountants Association, and Dr. Gadadhar Sahu, Reader in Physics from Prananath College, who served as the keynote speaker. Also present as honorable guests were Srikant Kumar Samantray, Headmaster of the Regional Higher Secondary School. Kailash Chandra Ray, Headmaster of Bateswar Nodal High School, served as the Executive President, Pankajini Dei, Assistant Education Officer, participated, and Dillip Kumar Jena, Block Education Officer, presided over the event. All of them shed light on the role and contribution of science in contemporary society and the importance of student participation.
The program was efficiently coordinated by Cluster CRC Sasmita Tripathy. Ten committees were formed to ensure the successful execution of the science fair. Several CRCs including Sunil Kumar Mohanty, Arun Kumar Mohanty, Ranjan Kumar Behera, Tofan Kumar Behera, Jatadhari Das, Trilochan Biswal, Munir Ahmad Khan, Hrudananda Sasmala, Umashankar Satapathy, and Sudhanshu Mohan Biswal contributed their support.
In this science fair, 147 projects were displayed, including 49 from primary schools, 41 from upper primary schools, and 57 from high schools. Out of all the projects, five projects presented by Omprakash Mallik, Lovely Behera, Surya Narayan Maharana, Anvesh Priyadarshini Jena, and Ashutosh Sahu were selected to represent the block at the district-level science fair.
