Rameswar Sporting reaches semifinal after defeating Paramount Bhubaneswar

In the ongoing Mangala Cup Cricket Tournament at the Kakatpur Mini Stadium, a thrilling third quarterfinal match was played between two top cricket teams of Odisha – Rameswar Sporting Bhubaneswar and Paramount Sporting Bhubaneswar. Paramount won the toss and chose to field first, inviting Rameswar to bat. Rameswar Sporting scored 225 runs in the stipulated 25 overs. From the team, Shreyansh Kumar played an outstanding innings, scoring 83 runs off 52 balls.
Chasing the target of 226 runs, Paramount also scored 225 runs in their 25 overs and were all out, leading to the match ending in a tie. As per the umpires’ decision, a super over was played. In the super over, Paramount scored 14 runs and set a target of 15 runs for Rameswar. Rameswar successfully chased the target in the final ball and won the match.
Thousands of cricket fans enjoyed this exciting match. During the third quarterfinal match, special guests included Kakatpur Press Club President Kamal Lochan Dixit and Vice-President Tushar Ranjan Dixit, who presented the ‘Man of the Match’ award to Shreyansh Kumar of the winning team.
According to Club President Pradeepta Dixit, the fourth quarterfinal match will be held tomorrow between Unique Eleven Bhadrak and Bishwabharati Cuttack. Club Secretary Subhranshu Dixit, Manager Bhagabat Swain, Treasurer Suryakant Dixit, Dhiren Chand, Akshay Prasad Mohanty, Sanjay Samal, Sushanta Dash, Shyam Sundar Rana, and others were present and ensured smooth conduct of the match.
