34th State-Level Mangala Cup – Unique Eleven Bhadrak Enters Semifinals Defeating Bishwabharati Cuttack
Kakatpur (Tushar Dixit) | Dated 28/12/23 – In the ongoing State-Level Mangala Cup at Kakatpur Mini Stadium, today’s 4th Quarter-Final match was played between Bishwabharati Cuttack and Unique Eleven Bhadrak.
Winning the toss, Unique Eleven Bhadrak invited Bishwabharati Cuttack to bat first. In the allotted 25 overs, Bishwabharati scored 136 runs for the loss of 6 wickets, with Sasmita Sahu contributing an impressive 97 runs.
In reply, Unique Eleven Bhadrak successfully chased down the target in just 18.3 overs, losing only 3 wickets. Dibyashankar Chakraborty was the top scorer with 46 runs for Bhadrak.
Krishna Chandra Satapathy, Branch Manager of Kakatpur Baroda Bank, attended the match and encouraged the players. He also motivated members of Mangala Club to make future tournaments more engaging and beautiful.
Sasmita Sahu was declared the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance, and the award was jointly presented by Branch Manager Satapathy and Mangala Cricket Club Advisor Anjan Kumar Dixit.
It was announced by Club President and Mangala Temple Advisory Committee Member Pradipta Kumar Dixit and Secretary Shubhranshu Dixit that the first semi-final match will be held tomorrow between Unique Eleven Bhadrak and Crown Sporting Bhubaneswar.
The match was well managed by Club Manager Bhagabat Swain, Treasurer Suryakant Dixit, Sanjay Samal, and Sushant Dash.
Umpiring duties were handled by Nirmal Kumar Mishra and Ayes Kant Mishra, while Dhiren Chand was in charge of pitch maintenance.
