Social Worker Honoured with “Odisha Sanjeevani Seva Samman 2023”
Date: 31.12.2023 (Sunday) – A special program titled “State-Level Yoga Sanjeevani Literature Workshop 2023” organized by Kaibalya Sahitya Sansad was held this evening at Gandhi Bhavan, Cuttack.
The event was inaugurated by Justice Ratikanta Mahapatra, with Dr. Satya Narayan Mishra, a researcher from the Department of Yoga, Utkal University, as the chief guest. Other esteemed guests included Biswajit Suryavanshi, President of Sarvodaya Mandal, Cuttack; educationist Dr. Yudhisthira Khatua; senior columnist Lalitendu Palauri; and Kishore Sagar, Cuttack District Coordinator of Patanjali Yoga Samiti.
On this occasion, the guests delivered speeches highlighting the relevance and need for yoga in contemporary society, emphasizing how yoga can help build a healthy and disease-free community. During the workshop, individuals who had made significant contributions to the fields of yoga and literature in the state were felicitated.
Invited poets and poetesses recited yoga-themed poems that captivated the audience. Yoga instructors, who have been providing free yoga education across various yoga centers in the state, demonstrated different yoga asanas on stage.
For their special contributions to yoga literature, poet Himanshu Bhushan Jena and poetess Prajñalini Sahu were conferred with the “Odisha Sanjeevani Sahitya Samman”.
For his lifelong service in promoting yoga across the state, fostering a healthy and disease-free society, and for his remarkable efforts in spreading Jagannath culture within and outside Odisha, social worker Padma Lochan Mahapatra was honoured with the “Odisha Sanjeevani Seva Samman 2023”. The guests praised his work and encouraged the continuation and expansion of such noble initiatives.
The entire program was efficiently conducted by Sangram Keshari Samantaray, the founder and editor of Kaibalya Sahitya Sansad, who also delivered the concluding address.
