8th Annual Commemorative Celebration Held at Balakati Satsang Bihar
Date: 21/01/2024 (Balakati) – Today, under the auspices of Balakati Satsang Bihar and with the support of local devotees and volunteers, the 136th Birth Anniversary of the divine Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra, along with the 8th Annual Commemorative Celebration of Balakati Satsang Bihar, was observed with great devotion.
The day began with Usha Kirtan (early morning devotional singing), followed by Usha Binati (morning prayers). Later, a grand procession of Sri Sri Thakur was carried out through the town. Prior to the main satsang gathering, a Bhajananjali (devotional music offering) program was organized at the Bihar premises.
After the Bhajananjali, co-priest Shri Gopinath Tripathy lit the ceremonial lamp, and co-priest Shri Harihar Panda sang the invocation hymn. The satsang session officially began under the priesthood of Shri Gopinath Tripathy. Following that, a lesson on following truth (Satyanusarana Patha) was delivered by yajaka (priest) Shri Santosh Das.
Then, several devotees shared their personal spiritual experiences in brief. The soulful bhajans and heartfelt expressions of devotion deeply moved the attendees.
The keynote speakers for the session were co-priests Shri Bairagi Charan Sahu and Shri Ashok Kumar Ray, who offered insightful spiritual discourses. Afterwards, co-priest Shri Gopinath Tripathy also addressed the gathering. Finally, co-priest Shri Bairagi Charan Sahu concluded the satsang session by singing the closing hymn.
Following the satsang, a cultural program was held on stage by Arpan Dance Institute, where little children showcased their dancing talents. Later, at around 2:30 PM, a Matru Sammilani (women’s gathering) took place.
The key organizers and volunteers of Balakati Satsang Kendra who contributed to the success of the event included Saroj Kumar Sahu, Anil Kumar Nayak, Sheshadev Khatua, Santosh Kumar Das, Prafulla Kumar Sahu, Baikuntha Behera, Gagan Chandra Behera, Manoj Nayak, Bishnu Charan Boitai, and co-priests Mrutyunjay Das, Ratnakar Swain, Nrusinha Srichandan, and Bipin Bihari Nayak.
After the satsang, devotees partook in prasad (blessed food) at the Anand Bazar and returned to their homes carrying the divine vibrations and blessings of Sri Sri Thakur. Approximately 2,000 devotees attended this spiritual gathering.
