‘Mission Satyabadi’ Portal Launched During Alumni Meet
Sakhigopal, 15.03.2024 (Saswat TV) – Teachers play a pivotal role in shaping individuals and building a healthy society. A teacher is the ultimate guide who leads people from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge. With this as the guiding philosophy, a farewell and felicitation ceremony was organized at Swarnamandap, Block Chhak, Sakhigopal in honor of noted educationist Satyabadi Das, following his retirement from government service. The event, titled “Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah”, was marked by an atmosphere of reverence and gratitude.
Shri Satyabadi Das began his career in 1984 and retired as Headmaster from Kapileswar High School under Dhanakera Panchayat in Delang Block. Post-retirement, discussions have intensified around his potential entry into active politics to continue serving the people of the Satyabadi region. He has already been actively involved in social service for years through organizations like Gopabandhu Mission, Club Satyabadi, and Bharat Vikas Parishad. During his tenure at Satyabadi High School, he founded the Gopabandhu Mission, under which he provided free hostel-based education to 100 students every year for ten years.
At the event, several esteemed guests and educators, including Damodar Mahapatra, Bhanumali Behera, Chandra Shekhar Tripathy, Brundaban Chandra Rath, Satyabadi Das, Gadadhar Nanda, and Nirupama Rath, graced the occasion. Cultural performances included devotional songs by vocalists Manoj Mati and Satyaprajna Guru Bandana. Satyabadi Das was honored with a shawl and Tulsi sapling. The event was hosted and coordinated by Tapaswini Das and Singhari Alok Khuntia.
A unique aspect of the celebration was the emotional alumni gathering, highlighting the sacred bond between teachers and students. It was described as a divine relationship, a blessing from God. Among the prominent attendees were Professor Ashok Kumar Mahapatra, Block Chairman Sunil Kumar Panda, former MLA of Satyabadi Rama Baliyarsingh, Jayashree Mahapatra, Deb Lobhan, Ramshankar Nanda, Om Prakash Mishra, Nihar Ranjan Swain, as well as many school teachers, well-wishers, youth, and media representatives who hold high regard for Satyabadi Sir.
Given the overwhelming support from people of all sections of the region, there are strong indications that Shri Satyabadi Das will soon dedicate himself to public service under the banner of Mission Satyabadi and may actively enter regional politics to continue his commitment to societal upliftment.
