Religious Woman Passes Away
Kakatpur, 16/03/2024 (Tushar Dixit) – Gandai Khandual, a deeply religious woman from Jiunti village under Astarang Block, passed away today. On Friday, she had experienced chest pain and was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar for treatment. Unfortunately, she breathed her last in the early hours today while under medical care. She was 80 years old at the time of her death.
At her deathbed, she was surrounded by her only son Purnachandra, daughter-in-law, three daughters, and grandchildren. Known in the region for her sweet demeanor, devotion, and charitable nature, she was highly respected and loved by the community.
Her death cast a shadow of sorrow across the entire locality. Her mortal remains were taken in a grand procession through the village before being cremated at Swargadwar in Puri. Her son Purnachandra performed the last rites. Family, friends, and well-wishers gathered at Swargadwar to pay their final respects and offer heartfelt tributes.
