This Year’s Grand Panchu Dola Festival to be Held at Harirajpur
Delang: 23.03.2024 (Saswat TV) – The world-famous Panchu Dola Melana Utsav of Lord Shri Shri Paschimeshwar Somanath Dev will be held on the 30th of March at Harirajpur under Delang Block in Puri district. In view of this upcoming celebration, a press conference was organized by the Melana Committee to share details about the preparations.
Committee members including Delang Block Chairperson Basanti Sahu and Melana Organizing Committee President Prasanna Kumar Maharathy were present and provided information regarding this year’s arrangements. On the occasion of Panchu Dola, to be observed on the 31st of March, a grand procession of deities in swings (Dola Biraat Shobhayatra) will take place. This procession will showcase various glimpses of Odisha’s traditional art and culture through performances on 8 different stages.
The highlight of the festival will include a vibrant fireworks competition. Additionally, the Paschima Sambhu Temple Management Committee will be hosting Harirajpur Mahotsav – 2024, scheduled from March 30 to April 3. The multi-day festival will feature melody nights, literary gatherings, Paika Akhada (martial dance), modern dance performances, and on the final day, a spectacular DJ show by the popular artist DJ Asmin.
In view of the massive turnout of devotees expected during the festival, Delang administration has assured full support and assistance to ensure smooth execution of the event, informed Committee President Shri Maharathy.
