Sanjay Das Burma and Arup Patnaik Stir Satyabadi Politics with Blessings from Sakhigopal
Sakhigopal, 07.04.24 (Saswat TV): Today, in the Satyabadi Assembly Constituency, Biju Janata Dal’s (BJD) Puri Lok Sabha candidate Arup Kumar Patnaik and Satyabadi MLA candidate Sanjay Kumar Das Burma received a grand and enthusiastic welcome from the Satyabadi and Kanas units of the BJD.
The party organized a rousing reception at Pattanayikia Chhak, where both candidates were greeted with loud cheers and floral tributes. A massive motorcycle rally escorted them to Sakshigopal Bus Stand, with hundreds of BJD workers following closely behind. At the bus stand, thousands of women welcomed the leaders with traditional huluhuli chants and garlands.
After offering floral tributes at the statues of the Panchasakha (the five revered reformers), MP candidate Arup Patnaik and MLA candidate Sanjay Das Burma led a padyatra (foot march) through Sakshigopal Market, accompanied by a massive number of supporters. They then visited the Sakshigopal Temple, offering prayers and seeking blessings from Lord Sakshigopal and Goddess Radharani.
The leaders paid their respects at the samadhi shrines of the historic Panchasakha – Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das, Acharya Harihara Das, Pandit Neelakantha Das, Pandit Krupasindhu Mishra, and Pandit Godabarish Mishra. They also offered floral tributes at the statue of Utkalmani in front of the Sakshigopal Temple.
The journey continued to Veer Gobindapur, where they offered prayers at the shrine of Goddess Dakshinakali. Later, they visited the famous Shaivite shrine of Lord Barala Balunkeshwar for darshan and rituals. The visit concluded at Suando, the birthplace of Utkalmani, where they visited his ancestral home and offered flowers in his memory.
