Puri, 02.05.2024 – Report: Singhari Alok Khuntia – Arup Pattanaik, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate for the Puri Parliamentary (Lok Sabha) constituency, filed his nomination today accompanied by a grand rally of party workers and supporters.
In the morning, he visited the Shree Jagannath Temple with his family to seek blessings from Lord Jagannath. From the Bagala Dharmashala in Puri, he proceeded in a massive procession to file his nomination.
The vibrant rally featured traditional Yodi Shankha, Ranapa dance troupes, Sahi Jata, Gotipua dancers, and thousands of party workers. Joining him in the procession were Rajya Sabha MP Subashish Khuntia and all the MLA candidates from constituencies under the Puri Lok Sabha region.
The rally moved through the Grand Road (Badadanda) of Puri, culminating in the submission of nomination papers to the District Collector.
Speaking to the media afterward, Arup Pattanaik said, “I am filing my nomination from the Puri Lok Sabha constituency to build a stronger and more empowered Puri, under the guidance of our senior party leaders. May the blessings of Yodi Shankha pave the way for a glorious Puri.”
