Preparatory Meeting Held for Shri Radha Janma Mahotsav – A Cultural Glimpse from Various States to Enthrall Audiences

The first preparatory meeting for Shri Radha Janma Mahotsav 2024 was held on Sunday at the Bhajan Committee Hall near Shri Shri Sakhigopal Singhadwar. The meeting, chaired by the event advisor Shri Sukanta Kishore Samantray, focused on how the grand celebration of Shri Radha’s birth will take place on September 11 with great splendor.
As in previous years, the three-day celebration will be organized from September 9 to 11, and will feature events such as a Panchakundiya Yajna, Balagopal Bhoji, various school-level competitions, Sankirtan gatherings, cultural programs, and devotional bhajan evenings. The highlight this year will be the Vrindavan Raas and cultural presentations showcasing traditions and art from various Indian states.
Like every year, the organization will also release a commemorative souvenir titled “Shri Radha”. Local poets and writers have been invited to submit their literary contributions by July 25 for inclusion in the publication.
On the recommendation of the committee president, Shri Narayan Patra, a new Facebook page named Sri Radha Janma Mahotsav Sakhigopal was launched. Devotees will be able to watch all upcoming events live through this page.
During today’s preparatory meeting, the organization’s editor Shri Dibakar Mahapatra, and members Profulla Kumar Panda, Bishwanath Mahapatra, Jiten Mahapatra, Singhari Alok Khuntia, Debadatta Samantray, Balakrishna Mahapatra, Bikram Kumar Patra, Umashankar Panda, and Manoranjan Sahoo were present and shared their thoughts and suggestions.
